After spending 5 demanding, but enlightening years in food manufacturing, our founder, Lauren Watkins, couldn’t decide if she was more frustrated or more disappointed. It had become painfully evident to her that finding quick, clean, delicious and nutritionally beneficial frozen foods was virtually impossible. The popular pre-made frozen entrees we were being asked to choose from were most often mediocre in taste and quality and were full of not-so-good-for-you ingredients.
She set out to change that. She believed that there had to be a viable path to crafting and delivering restaurant-quality frozen food that was both clean and nutritious as well as ready-to-heat. And there was.

- Develop a proprietary means of cryo-freezing.
Lauren’s mission is far from complete. Her belief that we can positively fuel our bodies and satisfy our taste buds without losing valuable chunks of our day continues to grow even stronger. That explains why her passion has now turned to motivating our chefs to craft more and more diverse and delectable PuraVida offerings. How good is that?
